We are organising a weekend away...the provisional date is the weekend of 30/31 July. The plan is to cycle to Sheringham, eat fish'n'chips, stay in the YHA on the Sat night, and cycle back on the Sunday. It will be about 100 miles each way, so we will have a couple of cake and lunch stops en route. We will also need a couple of drivers who will meet us at Sheringham and take a bag for each rider with a change of kit so we don't stink on the Sunday Cost will be about £22/23 (£20.40 for YHA and a couple of quid each towards petrol for the kind kit carrying drivers) Depending on the level of interest we will make a provisional booking this week but I will need money by 15 June to confirm that booking. Please let me or Ian know if you are interested (my mobile 07811959482) Note: you will need to be able to do 100 miles comfortably. If this one sounds a bit much then we are planning a similar weekend for September to Cambridge and back which would be about 60 miles each way, I'll let Ian add some mroe details.... Helen

I think nearer to 16mph for such a long day. If there are enough we can split the groups according to speed.
I'll be bringing my disc wheel and pointy hat for a faster ride. Won't look at all stupid on the seafront at Sheringham.

Quick update - with the provisional booking I have also booked breakfast at the YHA which is £4.95 per person - this includes a buffet of cold breakfast stuff and a choice of hot breakfast stuff too. So the likely cost will now be £27-28 for bed, breakfast and contribution to petrol for drivers.
Any volunteers for drivers?

Thanks Ryan & Lotte! At present I have 10 including you two. But a few other people mentioned they may be interested - if they are they need to email me ASAP. I have just spoken to the YHA. I need people to confirm with me by end of this coming Sunday (19th) in order to confirm our booking

Yes how much do non cyclists pay?

Costs for non-cyclists will still be YHA accommodation + breakfast (so £25.35) Hope that's OK. Once we know final numbers I'll be in touch with the drivers about petrol contribution from the rest...
I am assuming unless anyone indicates otherwise that everyone wants breakfast!

Yes, everything was just right, the group held together well, nobody blowing up and the weather and route were great.
Table football was rigged, but apart from that all good.
